CHAPEL HAVEN WEST - Tucson Arizona

Job Title: Point Program Staff - FT 40 hrs/wk

2 positions 1st shift - 1 position 2nd shift

7:30 am - 3:30 pm and/or 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Occasional rotation of shifts to include weekends

General Description:

The Point Program Staff is responsible for the overall coordination and teaching of the social communicative competence curriculum.  He/she will also coordinate and facilitate the general activity schedule for all participants in the Chapel Haven West Program.  Additional responsibilities include, teaching adaptive life skills and social competence, coordinating medical appointments, medication administration as needed, data collection, report writing and facilitating team meetings. This position will also provide crisis counseling to students when needed. Point Staff is assigned and manages a caseload of students and is responsible for each assigned students’ program. The person in this position is considered a Non-Exempt Employee.

Education & Experience: 

Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field. Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or related developmental disabilities. Experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) techniques.  Experience developing and writing individual support plans, individual goals and reports.  Experience in handling crisis situations.

Job Title:  Program Staff - FT 40 hrs/week

Job Title:  Overnight (Awake) Program Staff

40 hrs/wk (Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun) 10:00 pm - 8:00 am

30 hrs/wk (Mon, Thurs, Fri)       10:00 pm - 8:00 am

General Description:  Overnight staff assist students in learning a wide variety of life skills which may include, but are not limited to, grooming and hygiene, household cleanliness, social skills, etc.  This position also provides administrative support (filing, data processing, etc.) to the Supervisor of Chapel Haven West as needed and completes tasks as assigned by Supervisor.  The person in this position is considered a non-exempt employee.

Education & Experience:  Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field. Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or related developmental disabilities.  Experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) techniques.

Job Title:  Certified Speech & Language Pathologist

30 hrs/wk - flexible schedule to include nights & weekends

General Description:  The Certified Speech & Language Pathologist assesses & evaluates speech, language & general development skills of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Will also instruct and/or oversee clinical students in speech/language pathology and assist Program Staff in implementing program goals and objectives.  The person in this position is considered an exempt employee.

Education & Experience:  Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or related field preferred.  1 - 4 years exp in evaluating students with speech disabilities, & maintenance of appropriate professional certifications and/or licensure's.

Job Title:  Certified Special Education Teacher

40 hrs/week - flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends year round (no summers off).

General Description:  The Certified Special Education Teacher is responsible for the overall coordination & teaching of the CH West Curriculum including all Local Education Agency placements.  He/she will also coordinate and facilitate the general activity schedule for all participants in the CH West Program.  Additional responsibilities include teaching adaptive life skills and social communication skills, coordinating medical appointments, medication administration, data collection, report writing and assisting to facilitate team meetings.  This position will also provide crisis counseling to students when needed.  The person in this position is considered an exempt employee.

Education & Experience:  Bachelors Degree in Special Education required and eligible for certification.  Exp working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders or related developmental disabilities.  Experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques.  Experience developing & writing individual support plans, individual goals and reports.  Experience in handling crisis situations.

Job Title: Program Staff

Full Time- 40 hrs/week M-F

Part Time - 8 hrs Saturday

Experience handling crisis situation. Work independently and as a member of a team. Able to adapt to flexible nature of the position. Maintain positive work attitude. Excellent communication and observation skills. Obtain/maintain in-service requirements as mandated by Chapel Haven and the Advisory Board.

Chapel Haven Traditional Program

Job Title:  Human Resources

20-25 Hours/week - Flexible Mon - Fri

General Description: 

This position is responsible for the hiring process of new staff, including personal enrichment instructors, and the facilitation of appropriate interviewing and hiring practices.  Included are collecting, recording and distributing applications, resumes and internal employee transfers, completing background checks on selected candidates, processing the required paperwork that includes the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screening and fingerprints and reference checks.  Other checks include DMR Registry, DCF/Sex Offender Registry, criminal background, driver history and ensuring that professional licenses/certifications for positions that require them are valid. 

 

He/she will also be responsible for the proper terminations, either voluntary or involuntary.  Paperwork may include a letter of resignation, exit interview, COBRA, Life Insurance conversion information (if appropriate), final paycheck and Unemployment Notice.  Notification of termination is also reported to Talx Employer Services.

 

They are responsible for recording all pertinent HR data into Excel spreadsheets, Access and Gift Track databases. 

 

Oversee the enrollment or termination of staff with regard to medical/dental benefits, life insurance, pension, flexible spending, and the eyewear savings plan.  Responsible for yearly open enrollment for all staff benefits.

 

Discuss with all new staff worker compensation claims, general new staff orientation and the compliance of the agency with federal and state employment laws.

Education & Requirements: 

Associates Degree required. 5 years experience in Human Resources, and/or Executive Assistant

Effective judgment and decision-making skills.

A working knowledge of Human Resource topics including pay practices, benefits, employee relations, training and recruiting, etc.

 

Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

 Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently

 

Job Title:  Support Coordinators

Full time flexible 40 hrs/week - some evenings & weekends

1st & 3rd Mon Staff Meeting 5:30 - 7:30 pm

General Description:  The Support Coordinator is responsible for assisting clients (Community Members) as they implement their yearly goals & objectives.  S/he provides advocacy, case management & life skills instruction. 

Education & Requirements:  Bachelors Degree in relevant field + two years exp working with adults with cognitive disabilities.
