Chapel Haven Schleifer Center is proud to announce the appointment of Diane Kwong-Shah as our new Development Consultant.

Diane and her husband, Anish, are the proud parents of two daughters: Emalea “Emy,” who is currently in Chapel Haven’s REACH program; and Kayla, who is a high school senior heading to the University of Richmond this fall.

Diane is a native New Yorker and graduated from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting and a concentration in International Business. She worked in the financial services sector for Price Waterhouse and then in emerging markets trading for JPMorgan Chase.

Diane left the world of banking to focus on raising their family, while actively volunteering. She served as a member of a Birth to Three Mentors Program Steering Committee, a co-leader of a special needs moms support group, and a member and co-chair of the PTA Council Special Education Parent Representatives Committee. Diane currently serves on the Board of Riverview School in East Sandwich, MA, serving students with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities; and the Board of Remarkable Theater in Westport, CT, whose community focused mission is to provide purposeful employment to individuals with disabilities.

Diane will work with Chapel Haven’s Development Task Force, chaired by Chapel Haven Parent Steve Korn, whose daughter, Jillian, is enrolled in our SAIL program.

“I am excited to chair the Development Task Force and look forward to helping CHSC continue to offer outstanding services for its clients and residents,” Steve said. “Having worked with Diane on the Riverview School Board, I am thrilled that Diane will be focusing her tremendous energy and talents to help CHSC achieve its development objectives.”
