We are so proud of Robbie M. and Jenny H., two CHSC community members at Chapel Haven who have done such an outstanding job at the JCC of Greater New Haven, they were honored with the Kavod Key.
Robbie has worked in the maintenance department at the JCC for 5 years and has helped improve operations while also winning fans among the staff.
Jenny started in the spa and impressed everybody so much, they also asked her to work in Cafe J.

We are delighted with our growing partnership with the JCC of Greater New Haven. “The JCC of Greater New Haven has rolled out the red carpet for our adults in so many wonderful ways,” said Michael Storz, President of CHSC. “Each week, our adults come to the JCC through our CareerAbility program for meaningful, on-the-job training inty departments including marketing, human resources and the fitness center. They are warmly welcomed and have become an integral part of this vibrant community.”
CHSC also partners with the JCC on Cafe J – located in the heart of the building and a vocational training opportunity for CHSC adults. Cafe J is volunteer-staffed by adults enrolled in Chapel Haven’s CareerAbility program.
CHSC adults also swim, play basketball and work out weekly at the JCC. We are #grateful!
