We are excited to announce that Chapel Haven Schleifer Center is launching a new podcast that will be entirely voiced by adults that we serve.

CHSC has teamed up with Ashley Cavaliere, National Imaging Producer for the Format Center at iHeartRadio and a voiceover professional whose voice can be heard on radio stations around the country, including Kc101. You can read more about Ashley here

Ashley is known to CHSC as a passionate Best Buddies friend during her years as a communications major at Southern CT State University and an avid volunteer who has developed a beautiful rapport with our students.

“The benefits of this project are many-fold – building confidence in the adults we serve, providing a storytelling platform representing their viewpoints and educating the public about the vibrant adult lives that are possible for individuals with disabilities,” said CHSC President Michael Storz. “We are so excited to have her professional help.”

Two new classes available this summer gives CHSC adults the chance to cover news and events around campus for the new podcast, while also polishing their media skills at the same time.
