Amy Tellez is the Vocation Coordinator of Chapel Haven West in Tucson, Arizona. Amy joined the Chapel Haven West team in 2014 where she started out as an Overnight Program Staff. She has since moved through a variety of roles; Program Staff, Supported Living Point Staff, and finally into her current position as Vocation Coordinator. Amy obtained her BA in Psychology while working as an Overnight Program Staff and through her dedication and passion of working with students soon decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Education. Amy obtained her Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a graduate certificate in Community College Teaching and Learning from Northern Arizona University in May, 2018.
In addition to her passion for education and teaching, Amy is also dedicated to her health and wellness. She spends her free time practicing yoga, dance, and exploring the beautiful scenery that Tucson has to offer. Although she does not have any children of her own, Amy is close with her niece and nephew and provides them with the same lessons and values that she teaches her students, so they, too, can lead strong, independent lives.
