Bill Angier, Work-Based Learning and Training Manager
Bill Angier has nearly ten years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. He began by working in group homes before transitioning into the academic setting. He then became licensed as a Certified Special Education Teacher in the spring of 2017 and that summer accepted a position as a special education teacher in Chapel Haven Schleifer Center’s REACH Program. Over the past three years, Bill has developed a passion for vocational instruction and participated in several trainings and conferences related to vocational education. In the summer of 2019, he attended the Annual NFTE (The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) summit held in Chicago. In 2020, he moved from his role as REACH Special Education Teacher into CareerAbility’s Work-Based Learning and Training Manager. In 2021, he will begin course work for a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
When not working, Bill enjoys cooking for his family and friends or eating at New Haven’s many pizza restaurants.
