Harriet Schleifer, Honorary Board Member

HARRIET P. SCHLEIFER is the Chair of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, a Trustee of Cornell University, and an Honorary Board Member and member of the Executive Council of Chapel Haven Schleifer Center. Ms. Schleifer previously practiced law with a focus on education law and has extensive personal and professional experience representing students with special needs.  Her other involvements include service as a Vice Chair of The Jewish Museum, board service on Jewish Broadcasting Service and Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, Inc. Harriet is a Trustee of The Washington Institute on Near East Policy, and a past president of her synagogue in
Mt. Kisco, NY.

After receiving her B.S. in 1974 from Cornell University, Ms. Schleifer earned two graduate degrees in education from the University of Virginia, and her law degree from St. John’s University.
