We are delighted to report that Chapel Haven Schleifer Center has once again received a three-year accreditation from CARF International, confirming that our organization meets rigorous, internationally recognized, person-centered standards for quality, safety, and continuous improvements in serving adults with disabilities.
“This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards,” CARF wrote in a letter of award. “An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.”
The approval extends through Feb. 8, 2029.
In the executive summary, the reviewers praised CHSC as “a mission and vision-driven organization that provides highly valued services to students…The leadership team is forward thinking and able to pivot to address the changing needs of the students and to specifically focus on the needs of the aging population.”
CHSC President Michael Storz said he is proud that CHSC continues to meet CARF’s highest international benchmarks of excellence. “This designation confirms that we are committed to continual improvement. Every three years, we seek CARF accreditation as an opportunity to be independently reviewed by experts in our field. Going through such a rigorous peer review process helps us confirm that we are on the right track in offering programs and services of the highest quality. Thank you to Sherry Robitaille, Vice President of Compliance, and our entire team for achieving this milestone.” CHSC has been CARF accredited since 2002.
