Alyssa Parete, Director of Recreation

Alyssa Parete began her career at CHSC working in the Recreation Department before transitioning to the Community Life Day Program (CLP) where she worked for more than two years as the program’s manager. In August, 2023, Chapel Haven proudly announced her promotion as the new Director of Recreation.

Alyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in wellness from Southern Connecticut State University in 2018. She’s also completed coursework toward earning her Master’s in Therapeutic Recreation at the same university. Alyssa fondly recalls that while enrolled in graduate school, she attended a class that partnered with CHSC and has been an enthusiastic fan and employee ever since!

Alyssa is passionate about ensuring that all adults with disabilities are treated equally in every aspect of life, including fair opportunities for recreation and leisure.
