Emily M. Lopez, Work-Based Learning Specialist

Emily M Lopez, Work Based Learning Specialist, began with CareerAbility in November of 2021 but has been with Chapel Haven for going on 2 years. Emily started in the Recreation Program prior to graduating from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy. She is now pursuing her master’s degree in Recreation Therapy at SCSU and hopes to become a part time community college professor. At Chapel Haven, she enjoys coaching Special Olympics Swimming, going on trips with Rec on the weekends, and teaching PAVE’s professional development class.
