He is also Director, Center for Infectious Diseases at the Houston Methodist Research Institute and Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He has had a long-standing interest in discovering the molecular events contributing to emerging human infectious diseases and pandemics. Jim and his wife, Camille Leugers, MD, a family medicine physician, are the proud parents of Grace, a graduate of Chapel Haven’s Asperger Syndrome Adult Transition (ASAT) program. Grace lives in the community and works in Chapel Haven’s café. She is a graduate of Gateway Community College.
Board Chair Tom O’Neill said he is delighted to welcome Dr. Musser to the board. “It is with pleasure that I welcome Dr James Musser to the CHSC Board of Directors. Dr Musser has an extensive medical background as both a researcher and a practitioner. He also knows the world of medicine as it intersects with the world of disability. Dr Musser is also very familiar with CHSC as a CHSC parent and family. Welcome to Jim!”
