Keynote Speaker: Abby Spencer Moffat

The Keynote speaker for the 50th Anniversary Gala is world-renowned executive, philanthropist, CSCH sibling, Abby Spencer Moffat!

As Chief Executive Officer and President of the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation, Abby has scaled the organization into a globally recognized leader in the philanthropic arena with a focus on national security, education, entrepreneurship, and public policy.

A fervent believer in human ingenuity, she is particularly proud of her efforts to revolutionize how society helps and views those with special needs. She played an instrumental role in the creation of CHSC’s sustainable, scalable CareerAbility employment program that provides developmentally disabled adults with opportunities for personal fulfillment. The Foundation also provided a transformational gift for CHSC’s Phase I campus expansion that built the REACH and SAIL buildings as well as the expanded welcome center.

Building Family Connections

50th Anniversary Family Connections

CHSC is launching a new series of Family Connections Events. The goal is to bring families together within geographical areas to build connections and friendship amongst our CHSC families.

These are opportunities to meet CHSC President Michael Storz, who will provide an update on the “State of CHSC”, as well as many other members of CHSC program staff.

These events are being generously hosted by local families in their homes or other venues of their choosing. Currently, Family Connections Events are being planned in the following areas:

  • Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Westchester County, New York

  • Northern & Eastern Connecticut

  • New York City

  • New Jersey

  • Pennsylvania

  • Massachusetts

If you are interested in attending or hosting a Family Connections event in your area, please contact Diane Kwong-Shah at dshah@chapelhaven.org.

Come build Family Connections with other CHSC families and CHSC staff!!!
