Tom O'Neill, Chairman of Chapel Haven’s Board of Directors

Tom O’Neill is Chairman of Chapel Haven’s Board of Directors. Mr. O’Neill has a Bachelors’ Degree from Lewis University and a Masters’ Degree from the University of Illinois. He has been involved with the Down Syndrome community at the local, state and national levels since 1980.

Tom served on the Boards of both the National Down Syndrome Congress (9 years) and the National Down Syndrome Society (15 years), having served as Chair of each organization for three years. Besides serving as Senior Advisor to DSANI, Tom currently serves as Chair of the National Down Syndrome Society Honorary Board of Governors, as well as on the Board of Directors of the AWS Foundation. Tom has also served on a number of other non-profit boards in Northeast Indiana. He has been a business owner in Northeast Indiana since 1980.

Tom and Rita are the proud parents of two sons, Joshua and Noah. Joshua lives semi-independently and has been part of the Chapel Haven community since 1998. Noah and his wife, Ashley, live in Chicago and are the parents of three children.
